Reviewers are impressed with the Nissan Ariya e-4ORCE AWD [Updated]

The all-electric Nissan Ariya is a big leap forward from it’s first EV, the Nissan Leaf. With its distinctive styling, roomy interior, and reasonably generous range, the new Nissan Ariya caught a lot of attention when it went on sale earlier this year. Competing with Ford Mustang Mach-E, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV6, Tesla Model Y, and Volkswagen ID.4, the Ariya is now dialling things up with the debut of the e-4ORCE (pronounced “e-force”) AWD package.

The dual-motor, all-wheel drive e-4ORCE system uses torque vectoring, rear-wheel recuperation independent from the front, and a bunch of other dynamics to tame body movements. It offers a more comfortable ride quality and helps reduce motion sickness in passengers too.

Nissan now using heavy-duty electric transport trucks to deliver EVs to dealerships in California

Nissan battery electric vehicle (BEV) Class 8 truck is delivering new Ariya EVs to the Downey Nissan dealership in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Nissan is now using two battery electric vehicle (BEV) Class 8 trucks to deliver new vehicles from the Port of Los Angeles to dealerships in the Los Angeles region.

The first dealership deliveries with the BEV trucks, to Downey Nissan in California, included Nissan’s all-new, all-electric crossover, the 2023 Ariya EV. The crossover offers an option for everyone with eight well-equipped grade levels. Ariya FWD trims are on sale now, with deliveries of e-4ORCE all-wheel-drive trims to follow this spring.

Chris Ramsey tells us how they plan to charge their EV at the North Pole

Chris and Julie Ramsey are about to embark on an epic 27,000 km (17,000 miles) journey in an attempt to become the first to drive a vehicle, and in this case, an electric vehicle, from the magnetic North Pole to the South Pole.

They will be driving an all-electric Nissan Ariya, modified by Arctic Trucks, to house bigger wheels and tires.

What’s more, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 and the Nissan Ariya, both EVs, are also finalists for the overall 2023 World Car of the Year award. Interestingly the Nissan Ariya didn’t make the final cut for the EV of the Year 🤔. The Kia Niro is a contender for the overall award. The Kia Niro is available as a hybrid, a plug-in hybrid, and a full-time EV.

Preparing to undertake the world’s first all-electric driving adventure from the North Pole to the South Pole on board of a Nissan Ariya

After 4 years of planning, husband and wife team Chris and Julie Ramsey, are about to embark on an epic 27,000 km (17,000 miles) adventure over 10-months, in an attempt to become the first people to drive from the magnetic North Pole to the South Pole.

Julie and Chris will undertake the challenge in an all-electric Nissan Ariya, modified by Arctic Trucks.

Earlier this month, Chris said, “One of the things that underpins all the adventures we do is that we take a standard production EV and aim to make minimal changes to clearly demonstrate its real, everyday capabilities, regardless of where you are driving it. Our Nissan Ariya is no different as the vehicle’s drivetrain and battery has remained factory standard, demonstrating just how capable and versatile the production Ariya is. We’ve modified the suspension and widened the wheel arches so we can benefit from the stable platform and support of the 39-inch BF Goodrich tyres. I’m incredibly excited to get behind the wheel of what was already a brilliant vehicle, but now feels equipped to take on the ends of the earth in style!”

Adventure-ready Nissan Ariya unveiled for epic Pole-to-Pole expedition

The Pole to Pole EV expedition team and Nissan unveiled a modified Nissan Ariya all-electric SUV, which will undertake a 27,000 km (17,000 miles) adventure from the magnetic North Pole to the South Pole starting in March.

During this amazing adventure the team and the Ariya will navigate breath-taking yet extreme terrains and environments, including ice fields, deep snow, steep mountain climbs and inhospitable desert dunes. Arctic Trucks, specialists in polar expedition vehicles, worked with Nissan design and engineering teams to prepare the Ariya for these tough conditions. Yet modifications to the car have been minimal, with no changes to the battery or powertrain.
