2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6 owners will receive two years of complementary Electrify America charging

Electrify America announced an agreement with Hyundai to provide owners of the all-electric Hyundai IONIQ 6 with two years of unlimited 30-minute complimentary charging sessions from the date of purchase at Electrify America’s network of DC fast chargers.

The IONIQ 6 can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in as little as 18 minutes with its Ultrafast 800-Volt Multi-Charging system, has an EPA estimated driving range of up to 361 miles and goes on sale spring 2023.

“We are excited for a third collaboration with Hyundai to offer customers hyper-fast charging experiences to EV owners,” said Rob Barrosa, vice president of technology, Electrify America. “We look forward to helping advance the electric vehicle revolution with leading automakers such as Hyundai and their latest IONIQ 6 model.”

Electrify America will continue its collaboration with Hyundai to support Kona Electric, IONIQ 5 and now IONIQ 6, giving drivers access to speeds of up to 350kW for capable vehicles.

“Our investment in the 800V eGMP platform that enables DC fast charging aligned with customer research that our customers expect fast charging (10-80% in 18 mins) and high AER (361 miles),” said Olabisi Boyle, vice president, product planning and mobility strategy, Hyundai Motor North America. “Our customer’s experience is further enhanced by our extended partnership with EA that provides complimentary access to the fastest charging network.”

Hyundai announces Canadian pricing for the 2023 Ioniq 6 EV

Hyundai Auto Canada announced details and pricing for its much anticipated Ioniq 6 fully-electric sedan.

All trims sold across Canada starting this Spring, will come with a Long Range 77.4-kWh battery and customers will be able to select from either a rear motor only layout, or for all-wheel drive.

The Ioniq 6 Preferred RWD Long Range has a MSRP of CDN$54,999 and a Natural Resources Canada (NRC)-estimated range of 581 kilometres (361 miles).

Dual motor AWD models have a starting MSRP of CDN$57,999 and have up to 509 kilometres (316 miles) of range.

Official 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6 Walkaround

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 is a sporty designed 4-door in an extremely aerodynamic shape that allows it to move through the air with a low drag coefficient.

The EV powertrain provides up to an estimated 581 km (361 mi) range and the battery can charge up to 80% in as little as 18 minutes.

Inside, IONIQ 6 offers dual 12.3-inch screens, interactive steering wheel LED system, and available dual-colour speed-sensitive ambient mood lighting that’s synchronized to your speed.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6, when configured as a rear wheel drive, and single motor, will have a range of 581 km (361 mi) when equipped with 18-inch wheels.

The twin motor, AWD version with 20-inch wheels, has a range of 435 km (270 miles).

The US EPA states the Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD is rated at 131 MPGe, while and the Hyundai Ioniq 6 is rated at 140 MPGe in the SE RWD Long Range configuration.

The slick Ioniq 6 moves through the air with a low drag coefficient of just 0.22 in its U.S. specs. The Korean market is even slipperier with a drag coefficient of 0.21.
