BYD announced it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Octopus Electric Vehicles to purchase 5,000 battery-electric vehicles to lease to customers over the next three years.
The initial order will include the BYD Atto 3 SUV which makes its UK debut in March with a claimed 260 mile range.
Octopus EV now has over 85 models available to customers.
Octopus Energy Group, Britain’s third-largest energy supplier, is a renewable energy group specializing in sustainable energy. Octopus recently announced they are investing EUR €1 billion in France’s green energy market over the next two years.
