Polestar 2

Electrify America announced they will provide owners of 2021 and 2022 Poletsar 2 electric vehicles with no-cost 30-minute charging sessions.

The agreement with Polestar – a Swedish electric performance car brand owned by China’s Geely – will give Polestar 2 drivers free charging for two years.

“We are thrilled to announce this offer for current and future Polestar 2 owners, streamlining the EV ownership experience for our customers,” said Gregor Hembrough, Head of Polestar North America. “Polestar is working continuously to provide them with substantial new benefits throughout their vehicle ownership journey, and this offer takes the stress and costs out of charging your Polestar 2.”

Electrify America’s more than 600 public stations across the USA.  The announcement did not mention if the agreement extended to Electrify Canada, a subsidiary of Electrify America.

This year alone Electrify America made similar agreements with Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and Hyundai.

As part of Electrify America’s commitment to drive EV adoption and the future of mobility forward, the company announced plans to double its current EV charging infrastructure in the United States, with plans to have more than 1,700 ultra-fast charging stations and 9,500 individual chargers installed by the end of 2025. This expansion is a focused effort to build an advanced network consisting almost exclusively of 150 and 350 kW ultra-fast chargers – the fastest charging speeds available today – at convenient locations to provide customers with a superior charging experience.

Electrify America is owned by Volkswagen Group of America.
