- VW has not announced any plans to bring the ID.5 to North America.

- Along with the ID.3 and ID.4, the new ID.5 is manufactured at the Zwickau, Germany plant and are carbon-neutral when handover to the customer.
The new e-SUV coupé is equipped with the new ID. software version 3.0, which includes improved charging performance and voice control among other features.

Our premium SUV coupé with all-electric drive marks another milestone in our ACCELERATE strategy,” says Ralf Brandstätter, brand CEO. “It offers locally carbon-neutral driving enjoyment for a discerning customer group. We are breaking into a completely new market segment with this model.”
The new ID.5 and the sporty ID.5 GTX with dual-motor all-wheel drive are the new, long-range models in the ID. family. Like all ID. models, the ID.5 is based on the Volkswagen modular electric drive matrix (MEB).
